Black is slimming. Yesterday on my way home from work the sky was semi-clear and I got a pretty good view of the mountains surrounding Anchorage. They seemed so much larger and closer. The reason- they were covered in snow. It occurred to me then that it was because usually they are dark green but now they are mainly white. Perhaps those of you living in mountainous areas are aware of this phenomenon already but it was my first time to encounter it. They just seemed so much more imposing. They sure are pretty like that. I'm not really sure if they are prettier than the green, just different.
It kind of got me thinking though- I better wear dark clothes all the time!
